condition News - Most Japanese population Live Long

During the past 25 years, residents of Japan still ranks in terms of single life expectancy. A modern narrative shows, female life expectancy in Japan rose to 86.5 year's and 79.5 years for males. There was an growth of about five months compared to the old year's data.

Statistics, in 2009, were issued by the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare of Japan. However, the life expectancy of Japanese men this year, down from fourth to fifth.

News From Japan

When comparing life expectancy in the middle of residents of advanced and developing countries or poor, would seem a real difference. People in advanced countries have a longer age than with developing countries.

After Japan, women in Hong Kong ranks second with life expectancy 86.1 years, followed by France and Switzerland, 84.5 years 84.4 years. From the group of men, the top busy by Qatar that is 81 years, 79.8 years ago Hong Kong, and Switzerland in third place there and Iceland at 79.7 years.

The interrogate is, why are there differences in life in the middle of the advanced and developing countries? If the view in Japan, one of the reasons why the longevity of its citizens is the rapid advancement of curative treatment, especially for diseases cause death, such as cancer, stroke, and heart. In addition, the Japanese diet is illustrious and a wholesome lifestyle.

Longevity is a good thing, but in a country with dinky birthrate and declining population, the estimate of elderly People means an imbalance in the population.

Japan today also face discrete problems with the aging People such as increasing the estimate of cases of elderly suicide, violence, alcohol abuse and the elderly because of low incomes and occupational status uncertain.

Japan voyage - Rotary Group Study exchange Goes to Japan, record Fourteen to terminate

The international club known as Rotary promotes yearly travel that all people between the ages of 26 and 40, male and female, and of all backgrounds - should know about - because it is a Rotary-funded six week study aboard and anything can apply to be a part of this necessary life experience. If you are this age group - you could enjoy the kind of contact that is described in my notes in this article. To find out more about the agenda go to the international Rotary website and search for Gse - Group Study exchange - and contact your local Rotary Club for more information.

Our adventures continued:

News From Japan

May 5th - Thursday:

It's a free day today - we're winding down - and my hosts understand that my favorite spot is the hot springs - so Takafumi, Aoi and I went to Seiryu. I have three favorite spots in the pools - and today the third spot is laying in the shallow hot springs water resting back on a log that works as a upholstery for a rest. There is a large wall of rocks beyond this pool - that make the soothing sound of falling waters. We had massages - and lunch. This evening we went to see Moe's ballet doing (she's 14) and danced beautifully - and there is nothing cuter than the wee three foot Japanese girls - in ballet slippers, hair pulled back with ribbons, and a pink tutus - charming.

May 6th - Friday:

Magazines read backwards in Japan - Cities often have ferris wheels, some built on the top of buildings high above the streets - and gas pump hoses hang down from above the cars in the gas stations. Where has it gone?? - these five weeks when we've had so much to see, learn, do - and enjoy. Where?? - it was the first week, and seemed like we were planning to be in Japan for a long time - and now gosh, the final day of the Gse team experience. So many friendships, host families, pictures, experiences, funny moments, cherry blossoms, good drink and food - so much to be remembered as we were upon this final day. Plans were being made for travel. Julia heading home - Antonio, Harry and Monica off to Tokyo - and I was development Kyoto plans with the Tanaka's and Ai.

I went with Aoi in the morning to have hair washed at the shop - and discovered how much was nearby were my host family lived - big agency store, the small Japanese streets, so colorful, and filled with one after an additional one of vendors selling sweets, meats, vegetables bustling with people. At 1Pm each of the team checked back into the Grand Hotel - and I noticed that what seemed so foreign for our first night's stay, now seemed so familiar. What stirred me to feel like a stranger and wonder how I would manage - had turned into an adventure of the human spirit that eased any concerns - and substituted them with a photograph book of joys. Ria and I popped back to where I had started - for a cup of coffee at Starbucks - and made plans for her daughter, Aoi, to home stay with me in the States. I've learned how much the Japanese value international contact - and I consideration how enriched my life is to have international friends. Dr. Funakoshi came by to pick us all up - once more dressed in team blue blazers and finding like sharp Americans - we headed out the front door of the Hotel. Two blocks away are three big agency stores, Iwataya, Daimaru and Mitsukoshi - they all associate private - spanning the three blocks below - with what is the most astonishing array of foods that you have ever seen. Want to buy a mango for - a perfectly grown, sweet one - Japanese sweets of so many - any kind of meat or fish? - they are all there. Each agency store has dissimilar things - so it's a must to catch them all - we walked for over an hour to gaze at the fare - all beautifully displayed to entice you. Dr. Funakoshi stopped to treat us to a former Japanese dessert, of two sweet pancake sides enclosing sweet beans flavored with honey - yummy. We stopped for cold green tea - and then for a visit to his dental clinic. Today - being our last Gse team day - the Nishinippon Newspaper prepared an article for their paper about the team. We visited the newspaper to see Nobuyuki Tanaka, who is on the Gse team arrival to the U.S. And is a Staff Writer in the City News Section -- and he gave us a tour of the offices. Then Hikaru Shimizu, Chairman of the Board of the Nishinippon Newspaper Co. And a Rotarian, met and talked with us.

Ahhh....packing - how is it all going to fit in the suitcase - not - have to give some away - presents from friends to take home - turn of clothes for the party and wrap up of packing. Five-thirty - and time to be in the lobby - for the night's celebration of our Gse contact together. Aahhh....how to part - with all that we've shared. The party was at the Café in the Park - down on the river - in a room where we could all be together - and a cozy pouring rain outside. Gifts - host families there - the incoming Japanese Gse team - the Gse Japanese committee - District Governor and past District Governors, and others who translated and shared our contact - maybe 80 people - and glad to see people we knew along the way as our team traveled through the dissimilar areas in the District. Speeches in Japanese - to us in English - and much to be said. Izumi spoke for the Japanese Committee - and I spoke for our team. It's tough to make a speech - with so much genuine, sincere emotion -and wait for translation at good points - and I had three things to cover: that the gift that the Japanese had given our team was that they changed our lives forever (we could only think bigger with this generosity and international experience), that what I had learned personally was that as people "we are so much the same, and at the same time, so dissimilar (example, when I go to a Rotary Club meeting I know exactly what is going on because it is the same, and yet it is in a language that I don't understand), and third, that Paul Harris had a vision that lead to us to being here (the Rotary gift) and as my message has been "we should contain all smart people who share a concern" (men, women, Japanese etc.) to give the gift of Rotary freely...it is a fine force to grow in a troubled world. I thanked our Japanese hosts for the perfect job that they did, the financial offering that their District makes to have it be a great experience, and assured that their team would be in perfect hands with us in America. The District Governor, Mr. Tachibana spoke - he's funny - and also Mr. Takamoto - and this trip has been important to their connection with our District. Hisa is arranging for the Ogori Rotary Club to be a sister Club to the Los Gatos Morning Club - great idea - and three of the Club's members will come to visit our Club. They done this party with the Oh Rotary song (never have I heard that one in America) - and the former hand clap.

As you can guess - one party always leads to an additional one here - and The Tachibana's had arranged for the next one - with all of us who had enjoyed each other so much - to be at an "oldies" bistro - whiskey and ice on the table, lots of food - and a angle reserved for us to listen to the 60's music - and dance - yes, a lot - and the Governor was dancing wild and crazy - and all the teams - and those who lead - and it went on late into the night - fun and good to shake nearby freely as we all crowded onto the dance floor. There has been nothing but good will on this trip - and the American team has done an perfect (each one of them has been terrific) job. Now the birds fly off in dissimilar directions -thankful for the people who make up Rotary and see the world with generous eyes.

This article concludes a series of fourteen articles -- on happy travels in Japan. Check with your local Rotary Club about participating in a Gse contact -- it's once in a lifetime to treasure.

Tears For Japan Will Lead To A Boom

The fears that this will be devastating to the global economy are overblown...

Japan was already in a world of hurt, financially speaking. Their tremendous deficits are estimated at over 210% of Gdp, and the world was no longer turning a blind eye as every person from traders to the prestige agencies were essentially putting them on notice. However, now the Japanese government has an excuse to borrow and spend and will be given consent to do so. They will be required to borrow trillions to heal their infrastructure...and who would fault them. Sure, it will only growth their debt load and generate a worse economic situation years down the road, but investors and the financial markets do not look that far. The fact of the matter is that trillions will be spent by the government which will put citizen to work and indubitably be a boom for Japan, albeit a mini one, and they will be given a hall pass to do so.

News From Japan

The bigger photograph is that we are naturally in the middle of a restorative phase in this bull shop rally (within a larger cyclical bear market), and this could very well be the capitulation that pushes the sellers over the edge (exhausts supply). As I have said in previous client newsletters, corrections come from the evil that you do not know and are not ready for. The world events of the last month indubitably qualify as that! A correction needs about 5-7% to ease the excesses. We only had about 2-3% following the Mid-east turmoil. With this new crises we now have gotten to the 5 ½% level, which is probably enough. The stock shop has absorbed the worlds new meltdown (yes, pun intended) resoundingly well and should resume the uptrend shortly.

My bigger fear will come when the Federal retain ends its easing programs. The shop is indubitably addicted to stimulus and absent of government intervention, the economy could indubitably roll back over. My best guess is that Bernanke will end the program and see what happens. When the stock shop sends a message to Bernanke by selling off like it did last time, he and the Fed will be military to found Qe3 or something of a distinct name.

Please understand, I do not intend to be cold or indifferent to the tremendous suffering going on in Japan, my heart goes out to them. I am naturally trying to take a top-down tactical (Tdt™) investing arrival to this situation.

Feeling Distressed After the Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan

During the past consolidate of weeks I've had a malaise I couldn't quite identify, an uneasy feeling of being less grounded than usual.

Before I realized where it was arrival from, I checked with house and friends; they too had been experiencing distress they couldn't explain.

News From Japan

The earthquake and tsunami in Japan have led to a huge loss of human life... We've all been glued to our televisions as the news has unfolded. Put anything label on it you want, but the catastrophic events in Japan have been leaving a lot of us feeling ungrounded.

As I reflect on my own distress I recall having been there before. I had that same feeling following the 2006 tsunami swamping Southeast Asia and the 2010 earthquake devastating Haiti.

There is a lot of modern concept about how all of us human beings are interconnected energetically. It comes out of measure physics, psychology, spiritual disciplines and elsewhere. But most of the time you are not known of your connectedness with others.

Sometimes, however, you are fully known of it. If you were deeply associated to other man who then died, you may well have felt as if part of you had died with them. I know that feeling all too well. anything who has gone through such loss knows it to be a frighteningly un-grounding experience.

If you live in a small community and have ever experienced a whole of people dying in a fire or a boat sinking, you will know how the whole community goes through something similar, leaving every person distressed.

In the devastation of Japan many have died. As a consequence of so many human lives being lost, you may have had moments of feeling a bit like you were slipping away too. Many have this experience. Remember, you are energetically associated to every person else. This is where that feeling of being ungrounded comes from.

I am describing something happening energetically, but if that is too hard for you to swallow, think of it at least metaphorically, and stay with me for a moment as I increase the idea.

Perhaps when you sense being ungrounded in the wake of weighty death, you are being pulled a dinky bit out of your normal human connection to the earth into the beyond along with those who verily have passed on. Becoming grounded again is your arrival back to earth to continue your human journey.

Whether or not the above investment makes any sense to you, if something feels wrong inside after such weighty loss of life, you would be well served to do something to re-ground yourself, the first step being to just be aware your connection to the earth is probably weakened.

Then reground yourself using anything works for you, whether vigor tools or walking, whether prayer or re-bonding with family.

The Blood Lagoon of Taiji, Japan

Since 1980, now for thirty-years (2010), the fishermen of Taiji, Wakayama (Japan) have killed over 750,000-dolphins, within their lagoon. unmistakably this is a lot of death, for a high concentrated sea mammal full of mercury that is toxic to eat. Why on earth would a group of fishermen want to do that?

Here is an animal that can swim, forty-miles a day, in the open ocean, yet we keep cooped up in the likes of Sea World, as if they were prisoners of war, to put on shows for mankind, as they die right and left of stress-because of this so called entertainment gimmick. Yes, in many ways they are like humans, they get bleeding ulcers from stress of the high volume of noise their principles has to endure, absorb.

News From Japan

They socialize, and they commit suicide by not taking a last breath when they've had sufficient of the constant expectations man puts upon them-when they have what we call a nervous breakdown, or chronic episode of depression.

The dolphin hunters of Taiji, they generate a wall of sound colse to these sea creatures, surrounding them, driving them crazy, and into Taiji's lagoon, and then blocking the lagoon, slaughter them like pigs. And then sell the meat to whomever will buy it, or mix it with other fish, and sell it (there has got to be a good way of manufacture a living). They get about 0-dollars per dolphin, unless they can find a 'Flipper,' type dolphin, then they get the gold "0,000" thus, bringing it on to Sea World.

It could be said, dolphins are mini whales. They have body language, and can read sign language; they are also self-aware, and can anticipate.

I wouldn't be writing this description if mankind were starving to death, or if Japan had no other source of produce to keep their livelihood, but when it comes to senseless killing, and when you fill the lagoon up with blood, you've got to be accountable to someone. Actually, feeding dolphin meat to whatever is damaging to their health, it can cause deformities, and has in many children; it can cause brain damage, sight impairments, hearing loss, and memory loss.

Have we all come to be so wicked we no longer have a conscious, or heart, or fear of God, that to rape the seas for no fancy other than, a miniature profit, we will not be judged accordingly-think again. Amen.

8.9 Earthquake Japan - Fifth Largest Earthquake in the World Since 1755

When it comes to Japan, they sure know how to rock n' roll - but they also seem to be good at setting records. The Sendai, Japan Earthquake of 2011 was the fifth largest earthquake ever felt, where enough records were available. Can you say huge, I mean of course huge?

Well, consider if you will that in all of recorded history since the Richter Scale was created there have only been three others larger than the one in Japan. For instance, according to WikiPedia, the Richter Scale was not even industrialized until 1935 by Charlie Sheen, I mean Charles Richter with Beno Gutenberg at Cal Tech in California, whereas, it was Charlie Sheen, an actor that appeared to lose his mind and shook Hollywood circa 2011.

News From Japan

If you will recall the new Earthquake in Chile was an 8.8 and the Sumatra-Andaman earthquake quake was 9.3 which caused the giant Tsunamis throughout the Indian Ocean. Perhaps inspecting the Haiti Quake and the new New Zealand quakes, which were quite a bit weaker, but not any less devastating to structures or ruined lives - it might make sense if you live in an Earthquake zone to have a plan.

Indeed, there is a very good book I can advise to you if you don't feel as if you are properly prepared currently, and I will tell you that this is a book I do own personally living out here in California. The name of the book is:

"The Disaster Survival Handbook" Authored by Alton L. Thygerson, Brigham Young University, Salt Lake, Ut, (1979) 248 pages, Isbn: 0-8425-1629-8.

The book explains what you can do in your own life, to protect your family and property, as well as what to do immediately afterwards. Not only is there exquisite information earthquake preparedness, supplies needed, and how to battle ready your living environment - but also how to deal with aftershocks, power outages, drinking water, cooking, and surviving, of course surviving, as you won't have any communication, Tv, Internet, gas, electricity, and you may not be able to drink the water, even if you have some flowing through the pipes.

This is a great survival book, because it handles all types of disasters, and I ask you - are you and your family ready when and if disaster strikes? Be prepared because when such an event hits emergency services will potentially be so overwhelmed, you are on your own. Thus, maybe this is a good wake-up call for you to consider the reality of such a inherent eventuality. Think on it.

Petrocaribe - Should Costa Rica Accept Handouts From Chavez?

Costa Rica, like many Latin American countries, buys a lot of oil from Hugo Chavez. Try approximately 100% of the 18,000 barrels of crude that the country refines daily. Under current financial terms, this crude has to be paid for within 8 days. However, if Costa Rica joins in with Hugo Chavez sponsored "Petrocaribe" those terms could convert drastically for the better. Petrocaribe is Chavez offer to countries of Central America and the Caribe to buy oil on very suitable terms. They still have to buy at shop rates and if those rates exceed 0 per barrel, the suitable terms kick in. Specifically, the capability to finance the buy of 60% of the price of the crude over 25 years at interest fixed at 1% (and with two years of grace). The remaining 40% of the price would be paid over 90 days. This would create gigantic savings that could be invested as Costa Rica chooses. A big debate is over what to do with this surplus.

That is what I like to call a "good problem." A bigger question in my understanding is whether to accept any such handouts from Hugo Chavez in the first place. Does this not allow Chavez, who has expressed dictatorial visions of grandeur, to get his hands around the throat of Costa Rica economically? Could this just be a ploy in his pursuit to become the czar of Latin America? Would it have been a good idea for France or Great Britain to have made such cozy deals with Hitler? Chavez is no Hitler, you might say, but are we sure about that? He has already been busy muzzling any negative press in his own country and rapidly passing laws giving himself operate over every facet of Venezuela's economy prior to the upcoming elections. Venezuela's citizenry enjoy cheap oil, but the Chavez version of leisure offered to his population seems pretty "cheap" as well. The price of any debt incurred to Chavez may ultimately prove to be very expensive.

Japan Crisis: Get involved Today

The earth shook, the windows shattered, walls twisted, collapsed, protruded as the water was pulled back like a slingshot, releasing at speeds topping 600 miles per hour, a 30 ft wall smashed the coastline of Japan. Within 24 hours, mothers were in line to receive rations of rice and water. Fathers were shoveling mud from their homes and businesses; thought about to start their lives over again. Yet, in the midst of their resiliency, the threat of cancer causing radiation looms over their land.

What would you do if this catastrophe struck your homeland? Would you be like the top level engineers who have chosen to stay at the nuclear plants, exposing themselves to high levels of radiation, essentially sacrificing their lives to save the masses. Or would you be like the mothers who choose to wait in line each day for hours, in order to receive portions for their family, only to share them with the elderly and disabled in their town. Maybe you would be on the the townspeople who was spared, whose home was left standing and whose cabinets and pantries are still full. Would you risk not having adequate by sharing your resources, so your neighbors had something to eat or drink?

News From Japan

Until we're in dire straights, it's impossible to know how we would respond. If you believe our actions result our thoughts and desires, you most likely know whether you would stay and serve, flee out of fear, or give up from the compounding grief and loss. These are the options faced by the survivors of Japan's 9.0 earthquake, subsequent tsunami and nuclear plant meltdowns.

If you've been fixated on the coverage in Japan, trying to figure out how you can help: sending your thoughts and prayers, giving monetarily or even packing your bags to assist in humanitarian aid missions, you're most likely an activity oriented person. For those of us who have yet to act, let's not pretend that watching the coverage and feeling sorry for the Japanese citizen is doing anyone to help them. The coverage is not for our entertainment or to make us feel more blessed in our circumstances. We may be separated by thousands of miles, but we are united by the same human spirit.

Sometimes it may seem like the puny we can do will do nothing for even one house in Japan. Overwhelmed by the thought of what puny we can do, we choose to do nothing. The reality is if one small neighborhood or church in America sponsored just one family, their would be adequate aid to feed, cloth and rebuild the devastated communities in Japan.

So here are some unique ways to sustain the relief efforts in Japan. Are you shopping nearby for any birthday presents? Who doesn't need a nice set of coasters, consider buying a set from Unicef at just . Or you're in debt up to your eyeballs and giving isn't an option. Have you thought about selling some things nearby your house. Right now, if you sell anyone on eBay, you can prescribe a determined ration go towards relief efforts in Japan. If giving or going are indeed not options for you but you want to help, Samaritan's Purse has a prayer guide on their website.

The Creation Myth in Japan

Much like the book of Genesis in the Holy Bible, and other religions all over the world, Japan has its own myth of Creation. The starting of Japanese history appears in two important historical books, one of them being "Kojiki", which is ordinarily translated as "The narrative of antique Matters"; this is the oldest historical narrative in Japan. The other book is "Nihon Shoki", which translates into English as "The Chronicles in Japan". According to Kojiki, there was chaos before the sky and earth divided. After the earth separated from sky, the first seven gods were born. The last two gods born were the male god Izanagi and the female god Izanami.

As Izanagi and Izanami stood at the bridge in the middle of the sky and earth, Izanagi used his pike to stir the mud of chaos below them. When he lifted his pike, eight drops of mud fell back to earth, becoming the eight islands of Japan. The two gods, Izanagi and Izanami, went to one of the islands created by the mud and married. Izanami gave birth to gods of stone, wood, ocean, water, wind, and fire. When the god of fire was born, Izanami was burned while giving birth and died. Izanagi was so saddened by this that he traveled to the land of the dead in an attempt to take his wife back.

News From Japan

When Izanagi found Izanami, she agreed to go back with him. However, she asked her husband to not look back at her on their way out. Izanagi took his wife's hand and walked. As they approached the exit of the land of the dead, Izanagi broke his promise and looked back at Izanami, looking his wife's body half rotted. More than half of her skin and flesh was melted with her bones sticking out; she was a zombie.

Izanagi, shocked, ran away. Izanami chased after him and cursed him, saying that she would kill 1000 of his people. Izanagi responded back that he would have his population give birth to 1500 babies. Izanagi done the exit from the land of the dead with a large and heavy rock, production it impossible for population to voyage to the land of the dead in the future. Izanagi purified his body and soul and formally divorced Izanami. This was the first separation in Japanese history. Later, he remarried other goddess and gave birth to the goddess of the sun, who became the first ruler of Japan.

This story is close to the story of Orpheus in Greek mythology. As with Greek mythology, Japanese mythology describes the gods as being like human beings. However, Orpheus' wife plainly disappeared when Orpheus broke his word and looked back at his wife as he was taking her from the land of the dead. The Japanese version seems fresher and more vivid.

It is also animated that the first ruler in Japanese history is a shaman woman, who used the power of the sun to practice her magic power.

How to Find Some Good In Japan's Disaster

I was watching television the other day as the news reports prolonged to pour in about Japan's national disaster. As citizen lined up to be tested for radiation exposure, I noticed every person was wearing western style clothing. This saddened me because Japan has such a unique culture - beautiful clothing and tradition, yet it was absent. God created each culture so beautiful and unique but I commented that we were all a huge melting pot now and no great divergence exists. I can get a McDonald's hamburger on roughly any road projection in the world.

At this point another, more inescapable concept struck me. Cultures are blending because the world is becoming so small due to the World Wide Web, jet travel and the media. Yes, unique cultures thrive in isolation and once outsiders enter, the purity of the culture is diluted.

News From Japan

Then an additional one photograph speedily flashed on the screen. Disaster Teams from Germany, Russia, The Netherlands, Canada, and Australia were seen on the tarmac in Japan. Even China, historically an enemy of Japan, was sending a delegation to help after the quake. World Vision, Salvation Army and other Aid organizations were speedily mobilized; spending hundreds of thousands of person-hours and money to come to the aid of a country in distress.

This is the inescapable side of the loss of private culture. Because the world has become so small, differences have dissolved. every person is a neighbor and comes to the aid of each other. Those with whom we were once at war are now our friends. Messages of condolences pour in from national leaders colse to the world. There are admittedly hundreds of opportunities in dozens of countries for a man to donate to the relief effort.

Shintoism is the national religion of Japan and is diametrically opposite to Christianity; yet something is happening in the hearts of men and women that transcends even basic religious beliefs. There is a coarse condolement for suffering that transcends differences and courageous men and women leave their jobs and loved ones to travel the earth and help alleviate suffering. It happened in Indonesia, New Orleans, Haiti and now Japan.

Although these cataclysmic events are horrendous, it seems to often bring out the best in people. Jesus said, "No love is greater than when a man lays down their life for their friend."

God's smile of approval and blessing is upon those who have left all to cross the globe to lend a hand and He will aid them in their efforts.

Teaching English in Japan - What to Expect

The economic boom that swept Japan in the 1980's brought with it not only a period of wealth and prosperity, but also a sudden surge in a desire to study English. Fueled in part by Japan's role as an emerging economic force, the need to learn English became a necessity for many companies hoping to compete in the global marketplace. As a corollary of the affluence during this time more Japanese were also able to travel abroad, thus creating a interrogate for learning English for those who hoped to hone their English skills before development the journey to a foreign country. Entrepreneurs sensing an opening to capitalize on this trend began to open English schools in unprecedented numbers, from large Corporate chains that catered to thousands of students, to small neighborhood schools often employing only a handful of staff. Although the glory days of seeing a teaching job on the basis of being a native English speaker alone have faded, the good news is there are still many teaching jobs available in Japan for those willing to make a modest exertion to pursue them. Renewed economic increase in the last few years in conjunction with a up-to-date ruling by the Japanese Ministry of schooling to comprise English as part of the elementary school curriculum will also generate a need for English instructors in the future.

English teachers in Japan fall basically under two categories, those employed via structured programs such as Jet (Japan transfer and Teaching), and freelance instructors. Teachers who have come to Japan under one of the structured programs can expect benefits which comprise pre-departure training, visas, flights, living accommodations, and condition insurance. Free lance teachers are individuals who arrive in Japan seeing for work on their own or who have found a job prior to arriving. In regard to working conditions both can expect to teach practically 20-35 classes per week, with lessons spanning 50 minutes to one hour in duration. Most teaching positions are at private language schools, with the majority of classes being conducted in the afternoons and evenings. Students range from elementary school, high school, and university students, to housewives and businessmen of all ages. Many of the afternoon classes are typically made up of children who study English after their quarterly school day has finished, and the majority of evening classes are attended by teens or adults. Size of classes vary, but on mean consist of 3-5 students for many of the smaller schools, and up to 15 for larger establishments. Most schools also offer students private lessons.

News From Japan

Entry level salaries for teachers is practically 250,000 yen per month, though this can fluctuate depending on the company. Some of the larger chain schools such as Nova and Ecc offer visa sponsorship and other benefits, such as arranging an apartment for newly arrived teachers. Most schools also subsidize daily train communication costs. Teachers with perceive and a post graduate level qualification in the form of a Masters Degree can expect to make nearby 400,000 yen a month or more, with the majority of high paying jobs in this type to be found in the High Schools and Universities.

Japan's cheaper - It's a Nuclear Implosion!

With the news from Prime priest Kan that the allocation deficit of Japan's cheaper is more than twice the country's Gdp (as at June 2010), we could see an international fall-out of nuclear proportions.

As if it's not adequate that most of the major European economies are struggling with weighty debt, here we have the world's second biggest cheaper announcing that things can only get worse if austerity measures aren't introduced right away.

News From Japan

To European ears, this all sounds mightily familiar. And yet, out of all this clamour, what conclusions have been drawn from what has been uncut and communal economic mismanagement?

To say this could be the end of Capitalism probably has too much of a Doomsday ring about it. On the other hand, one doesn't have to be an economics specialist to see that austerity measures being pursued throughout the world will beyond doubt have a recessionary effect.

Taking spending power out of people's pockets means they have less to spend on goods and services; businesses and enterprise turnover will suffer; tax revenues will fall and unemployment payments rise.

So why are so many countries facing such unprecedented levels of fiscal debt? Could no-one in any of these countries (G7 or G20 economies) see what was happening?

Surely these horrendous figures haven't ballooned overnight. What have the armies of economists and civil servants employed by governments been doing all these years? Was it too politically hazardous for parties in power to say to people: "Times are good, but it will all end in tears if taxes don't go up and state services are reined in."

Can you fantasize a scenario in, say, 2005 when G7 governments had made announcements along these lines. The world would have understanding our political masters had gone mad. And what of the knock-on effects this would have had on that brittle commodity the markets call 'confidence'?

It turns out that successive Japanese governments have been borrowing heavily since their economic bubble burst 20 years ago. Ongoing deficits have been shored up by issuing long-term government bonds which Premier Kan now says is 'unsustainable'. What is so surprising about this is that Mr Kan was Japan's Finance priest before recently assuming his Prime Ministerial role.

Is it the case that government civil servants in Japan have been too cowed by their political leaders to raise objections? And how can civil servants object to anything when they don't have the power of a political mandate?

The same thing has been happening in the Uk. The new government has apparently been "aghast" at the former incumbent's profligacy in its dying days. This wasn't some kind of 'scorched earth' policy by a Labour government that knew its days were numbered. It was more like a communal complacency about what was going on at all levels of economic life and a fear among bureaucrats to register their dissent.

Now we have the unedifying spectacle of a new Uk government making ready new economic forecasts by the same advisory teams who'd worked for Labour.

To go back to Japan and all the other countries in financial turmoil. The question seems to be not a failure of Capitalism as a philosophy, but more a failure of the reporting mechanisms that preserve governments with their collection and interpretation of economic data.

Some may also argue that the much-vaunted wealth that knowledge-based economies were supposed to deliver has been shown to have no credence. To wit, China and India with their mixed economies which are nevertheless underpinned by a strong manufacturing base.

Capitalistic market forces are still at work in these emerging powerhouses but, inadvertently, they have shown that manufacturing, engineering and aggressive international marketing are an unstoppable force more than a century since our Victorian forefathers prospered on the backs of dirt, sweat and toil.

The danger with It businesses - and to a lesser extent bio-technology - is that they're basically 'service' industries. Yes, they create efficiency benefits, jobs and cash injections into various economies. What they should do is work more intimately with manufacturing commerce rather than as the introspective harbingers of a new world economic model.

Of course, multi-national corporations of all types create weighty wealth. What appears to be happening is that much of this wealth is funnelled into the pockets of shareholders and institutions which are the recipients of preferential dividends.

The shortcomings of this secret sector self-interest (Capitalism) are now being felt by national governments who clearly haven't been raising adequate tax revenues to cover the communal sector infrastructure that citizen living in western economies have come to expect.

This is a very complex subject with lots of side-shows. On the other hand, the ramifications of the economic news coming out of Japan, the Uk and Eu are a threat to economic and political stability.

So far, we've seen very few civil protests by disaffected workers forced to accept cuts in their incomes. It may be that the big ship Capitalism has been pilotage off policy for so long that the collision no-one understanding potential is in fact just over the horizon.

The time to come Is Now For Many Japanese citizen

When folks in Japan awoke on that fateful Friday many began planning their day and mental about what the weekend would bring. At 2:46 Pm Sendai time their plans went out-the-window and the grim reality of surviving the aftermath of the 9.0 earthquake was all that mattered. What good could maybe come from this disaster?

It's difficult to fantasize what the Japanese have gone straight through or to think of the hardships the hereafter will bring. These are proud people and slow to complain. However, with a region of the country virtually wiped out and the entire country affected in some way, their resolve will be tested and the blame game will have continuing financial and political ramifications.

News From Japan

For now, the best thing the Japanese people can do is to deal with the present. Maybe that's the message we should all take from this tragedy: live in the moment. We can plan, plot, strategize, scheme, scheme and worry about the future. Yet, for the most part, there's not much we can do to forestall the inevitable.

Sure, protecting ones health may help prolong life and the ability of the days we have. Assurance provides ways to pay for health care or replacement of possessions that are damaged. And life Assurance helps those left behind after we're gone. But these precautions prove powerless when it comes to altering the events of life, particularly the of course big ones that are beyond our personel control.

Think of the life-changing moments we experienced here at home in the United States. Last year there was the Gulf oil spill and the blizzards in the winter. The spring flooding has just begun. There will be tornadoes this summer and wild fires in the fall. And, an earthquake or two will bring back thoughts of what Japan is going straight through right now.

In the meantime, the Middle East remains a powder keg of unrest and is a major surmise why gasoline prices continue to soar in this country. Prices at the shop are steadily increasing, stocks are erratic, the housing store stinks and stagflation is looming its ugly head. These warning signals have caused consumer trust to slide. In spite of these issues we continue to live our personel lives with as much hope as we can muster.

We have our families and friends. These are the ones we safe against harm and would do anything it takes to keep them safe. The people in the Japanese quake zone and those who experienced the tsunami had no idea on that Friday morning this would be the worst day of their lives or that the pain and suffering was just beginning. And, the problems continue today.

This suggests that we may be well served by not just living in the moment. Instead, get off the merry-go-round, take a deep breath and enjoy the moment. It won't forestall the unpreventable, but it can bring us peace-of-mind in a world filled with crazy events.

The Earthquake in Japan Affects Us All!

Ok, so first things first. The earthquake that struck Japan last week followed by the Tsunami and subsequent aftershocks is a terrible tragedy for Japan its population and all associated and affected by it. My heart goes out to the whole country.

I cannot see how anything could not be moved by the images and the scenes of destruction shown by the media.

News From Japan

I have been asked by my team here how this will affect us over here and in our business. Clearly our hope is that our Japanese customers are Ok and unaffected by the quake, however right now we are yet to hear.

Right now there is a huge shortage of electrical components due to the earthquake in Japan. The Financial Times (Ft) states that 30% of the worlds flash memory (our Usb's included) are made in Japan! 10-15% of D-Ram which is a key component in every personal computer also made in Japan along with almost 40% of the worlds technology components.

Toshiba Corporation, the world's second-largest maker of Nand chips after South Korea's Samsung, has halted operations at its plants in areas affected by rolling power outages. Also, Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. And Sumco Corp., which both make silicon wafers needed to produce semiconductors, have temporarily stopped operations because of damage from the earthquake.

Clearly there will also be huge impact on the car commerce with Honda, Toyota, and Nissan all having huge manufacturing plants production vehicle parts in North east Japan.

When contribute goes down the price goes up, easy economics!

Any flash memory that was available to the store was brought in bulk by Apple, Dell and Hp over the weekend leaving the world with huge shortages, hence the increases we are looking daily in the price of Usb's. It is unlikely to end in a combine of weeks and my gut feeling is that prices have some way to go before they come down again. I would suggest clients to buy when they need and to accept the increases, I don't believe this qoute will be going away anytime soon!

Last Friday's earthquake and subsequent tsunami killed more than 10,000 people, while millions remain without power or adequate food. Near-freezing temperatures have forced 450,000 Japanese into shelters. Concerns continue to rise about radiation leakage from Japan's Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant. Despite the Japanese government pumping 3 billion of urgency funds into its economy, the country's stock store has fallen more than 10% in the last two days.

Take some time out of your day and say a prayer for the population of Japan.

The climate of Japan

Japan has a maritime atmosphere with mild winters and warm wet summers. Following is a brief narrative of its climatic characteristic and precipitation.

Temperature:

News From Japan

The atmosphere of Japan is made mild by the moderating work on of the Pacific Ocean. Therefore, Japanese cities have a milder atmosphere as compared to other cities of Asia placed on the same latitude. For instance Tokyo at 36 N has a mean maximum of the hottest month of 78 F (26 C) whereas Teheran in Iran placed at exactly the same latitude has summer high of 85 F ( 29 C). Even at Beijing which is placed at 39 N the summer high is 79 F (29 C). It follows from above that Tokyo is considerably cooler in summer than other places on the same latitude. It is even cooler than places on a higher latitude but placed farther inland like Beijing. In the winter, converse holds true. Now due to the moderating work on of the ocean places like Tokyo are warmer than those placed on the same latitude. The coldest month at Tokyo records a climatic characteristic of 37 F (3 C) while Teheran on the same latitude but placed farther inland records 34 F (1 C).

Precipitation:

Tokyo has a total yearly rainfall of 60 inches ( 1500 mm) mostly falling in the summer monsoon months from June to October. The highest rainfall of 9 inches (225 mm) is recorded in September. However no month at Tokyo gets a rain of less than 2 inches (50 mm) which accounts for the greenery found in the Japanese islands. The high humidity and rainfall accompanied with high climatic characteristic makes the weather unpleasant while later summer season so it must be avoided.

In short, the atmosphere of Japan is mild in winters and warm and humid in summers with a lot of rainfall.

Economic development in Japan

Japan is known as the model for the free developing word and that is how their economic amelioration works in Far East Asia. This is near in the boundary of Korean Peninsula.

This nation has been extending assistance to the less developed countries in the form of money, materials, and technology. It ranks amount two among the very developed free countries, and it is the fastest growing commercial society. It is being the economic superpower of Asia, which has attracted many admirers all over the world.

News From Japan

Their key to their nation's success is the potential of its people because of their attitudes and values which authentically determines the success or failure of an economy.

I am very thankful to myself about this title economic amelioration in Japan. This is a big help to the readers and viewers because people nowadays are searching in the internet description rather than reading a book.

It is also concerned in the Asian market which has a very large population. Once the people of the region could growth their purchasing power, it would be a huge foreign market for the commercial countries like Japan.

They have doubled its foreign assistance program, and most of it goes to Asia. This is a very wise economic strategy. Once economic and collective conditions have improved the region, people could buy more goods and services. This means that Japan could sell more automobiles, motorcycles, radios, television sets, computers, and other electronic parts. When a rich country helps a poor country, it is all the time for self-interest. There is nothing wrong about this, once the assistance creates mutual benefits between the giver and the receiver. Let it be hoped therefore that this time Japan is authentically sincere in helping the less developed countries. After all, the fortunes of the few rich countries depend and based on the economic conditions of the third world countries.

Japan - Some singular Mothers in Poverty Can't Afford High School For Their Children

In Japan, in the early 1990s, you could meet hundreds of Japanese citizen who would tell you they were part of the middle class. Nobody was poor; nobody was rich. Everybody said they were middle class. Roger Pulvers explains this sense of belonging to the middle class came into vogue with the economic boom of the 1970s and 80s. citizen all over Japan understood each other using what they called ishindenshin, a Japanese phrase meaning that they could understand each other without talking. The retreat of the 1990s came, and the myth of the middle class began to fade. The more the retreat continued, the more the myth faded.

Japanese today no longer all say they belong to the middle class. While Japanese may not have been all middle class, the chasm between the rich and poor was nowhere near as wide as it is today. The Japanese underclass is growing as the retreat continues and particular mom families increase.

News From Japan

A July 2006 report from the organization for Economic Cooperation and development (Oecd) stated that Japan suffered from one of the top rates of relative poverty among Oecd countries. Relative poverty is the ration of the citizen living on one-half or less of the average income. One Oecd report stated that relative poverty in Japan in the mid-2000s was roughly 15 percent, second only to the United States. The United States had an abysmal rate of 17 percent.

A labor and welfare ministry report in August 2007 showed that the Gini coefficient in Japan was a report high 0.5263 in 2005. The Gini coefficient, advanced by Italian statistician Corrado Gini, measures the inequality of revenue or wealth. The closer the Gini coefficient is to one, the worse the inequality. The Gini coefficient was over 0.5 for the first time in Japan.

One out of every three workers in Japan now has an irregular job. While some of these workers do not want permanent jobs, many of them do. Due to the recession, many businesses have let go many irregular workers. Many citizen in their 20s and 30s cannot find permanent work.

The numbers from 2007 tell a frightening story among millions of the 45.43 million citizen who worked for the whole year. At the bottom, 3.66 million citizen earned 1 million yen or less. Spicy up to between 1 and 2 million yen, there were 6.66 million people. A total of 10.32 million citizen earned under 2 million yen for the year, a very small sum in Japan. As the economy has prolonged to decline, the estimate is probably much greater now.

Many children from low-income families, especially particular mom families, have been deprived of the occasion for higher education. When government aid for particular parents was fulfilled, in April 2009, the situation grew even worse. In Tokyo, the aid was roughly 23,000 yen per month. Many particular parents are now unable to send their children to high school.

According to Naomi Yuzawa, a professor of family policy at Rikkyo University, half of particular mothers have only graduated from junior high school. They have strangeness earning adequate money to enable their children to regain higher education. Researcher Aya Abe explains that the relative poverty rate of single-mother households in 2004 was 66 percent. For households with both parents, it was only 11. Without change, poverty and lack of education will continue.

Japan seems to have embarked down the same sad path that the United States has gone down. Children of particular mothers face a high occasion of living in poverty and being unable to take benefit of education to enhance their lives. The odds are high that they will be poor as children, remain poor as adults, and that their children, if they have them, will face the same problems. Japan and America, two of the world's richest countries are abandoning responsibility for many of their children. The request is how can this be.

Armageddon: The advent Of The Dead

Friday March 11th dawned like any other day in Japan. Japanese citizen traditionally start their day early. The streets were crowded in the morning, citizen rushing to work, catching appointments, meeting friends, end company deals. Wrapping all the work during the last day of the week to look forward to a well deserved rest for the weekend.

And then it struck. At the starting it seemed like an commonplace rattle which the Japanese citizen are used to as a part of their daily lives. Earthquakes are quite tasteless in Japan and citizen go about their company as usual even in the middle of severe earthquakes. As the magnitude and the duration of this earthquake increased, citizen soon realized that it was the "Death Rattle", the " Big One" as seismologists have been anticipating for some time. At last it turned out to be the most superior earthquake ever recorded everywhere in the world since the time the measuring technologies came into use.

News From Japan

What unfolded was the ferocity and ugly wrath of nature. Whole buildings, office complexes, shopping malls, houses fell like pack of cards. It created craters so deep that seeing inside them could not make you see the end of the depth. Homes were destroyed, citizen trapped inside, shouting and crying for help and a scene of utter destruction all around.

What followed was ever more terrifying. A wall of water, 10 meters high (30feet) swept all things in front of it. Vehicles were tossed nearby like matchsticks, structure floated and vanished as if they didn't exist, aero planes were swimming in the strong sweep of water current. Villages after villages, farms, commercial complexes, indeed, many a towns were washed away and all things submerged under murky water. The tsunami which swept the North Eastern Japan is opinion to be the particular biggest movement of a volume of water ever recorded everywhere in the world. It left behind toppled automobiles, upside down houses and even brought huge holder ships right inside the drawings rooms of homes, many tens of miles inland from the sea. "Shinkasen" the pride of Japan, its offering to the world technology, went missing. In international parlance, it was like the vanishing of the Buckingham Palace, or the Eiffel Tower, or closer home the Taj Mahal.

24 hours passed and as the death and destruction mounted, Japan woke up to an even bigger catastrophe. Fukushima Power Plant saw its coiling theory failing due to the earthquake, thereby construction up the pressure inside the nuclear reactor to unmanageable proportions. Scientists were worried, neighboring countries were scared and the world society feared of a repeat of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, when there was a nuclear meltdown. As I write this article, Iaea along with Japanese Nuclear scientists are doing all things inherent to shut down this nuclear power plant but this is easier said than done.

Japan rose from the atomic bombings of 1945 to emerge as one of the most industrialized, thriving and advanced nations, within a very short span of 65 years. As the death toll races towards 1,000,00 it must rise again to face this triple whammy which questions its very existence.

On Friday, March 11, 2011 at 2:46 pm, a 9.2 earthquake struck off the coast of Japan. This lead to a chain reaction of events foremost to a tsunami, and a nuclear disaster as one of Japan's power stations leaked radiation. What are the global effects of these three disasters?

1. Higher power Prices

News From Japan

Energy prices are soaring because of the fear that the current unrest in the Middle East is affecting the global furnish of oil. The disaster in the Fukusima power center highlights the need for Japan to now import original power sources to replace any power produced straight through its nuclear facilities- which will add to more examine for natural gas, and oil.

2. Infrastructural renovation Projects

Both the earthquake and the tsunami have badly damaged much of Japan's infrastructure. Obviously a rebuilding phase would mean a government with a high debt problem, would have to invest in the reconstruction of those areas affected by this triple disaster. This could come to be the responsibility of the corporate sector, who dominate Japan's economy.

3. Banking and guarnatee Losses

Whether guarnatee companies pay out billions of dollars of claims due to the the earthquake and tsunami, remains to be seen, but the "man-made" nuclear disaster could come to be their liability. Japan's global banking and guarnatee industries may be forced to reinvest at home, depleting any global investments outside the nation.

4. Convert of Government?

Before these three disasters, lowly Japanese had lost their reliance in someone else scandal hit government. How the government reaction to these three disasters, and the subsequent rebuilding process, could Convert the communal perceptions of their leaders- but in the long term, we could see more changes inside the top echelon of the Japanese government.

5. Environmental Perceptions

After the nuclear disaster in Fukusima, many people are questioning the wisdom of construction nuclear power plants in a quake zone. Depending on the radiation levels, and the area contaminated, a worldwide reaction to the use of nuclear power could supervene in the ending of the Obama nuclear power program in the Usa, and even France's ambitious power program.

6. Money Markets

Japan remains the worlds third largest economy, but also like the United States, one of its biggest debtors. The value of the yen could fall, as banks spend on reconstruction projects, whilst the Government may be forced to raise taxes to pay for them. Some large Japanese corporations may cancel or put on hold overseas projects, re-investing these funds in rebuilding the areas affected by the earthquake.

7. Asian-Pacific Growth

China has the money and the cheaper in this region, but Japan is a second player in economic terms. Japanese companies invest in much of South East and North Asia, whilst the government often sponsor education & training programs in the region. Japan's contributions in the area, could shrink, foremost to some fears of reduced growth.

The natural disasters of the earthquake and tsunami, have led to the man made nuclear disaster, and destruction of part of a high tech nation.. Japanese are resilient, inventive and industrious people, and should overcome the hurdles of reconstruction. However this does have a short term supervene on the global economy, and a long term supervene on the time to come of the nuclear power industry.

Japan recession - The Trend Towards Positivism

Current recession has covered whole the word all of a sudden and at its biggest. recession is nothing but the slowing down or the melting down of the cheaper of any nation. Even Japan, the country with Kaizen as a tradition in its culture and the biggest fighter ever who fought the disasters of nuclear weapon very boldly could not fly from the grasp of recession. Along with other nations Japan recession is at the level which is not to be much worried off, but still it's been a matter of concern for them.

Among all the recession hit nations Japan has made a confident turn after going deep into hallows of recession. The reasons behind it being the citizen behind the scenes who matter a lot projecting their country to be a recession free one. A hard fought back cheaper which turned its head to confident side since June has made a good progress. All prestige goes to Japanese citizen who expert the art of unity in every aspect.

News From Japan

From April to June an economic growth of 0.9% is a superior improve made by a country which went deep into the deep effects. Hence citizen say that Japan recession has come to a halt. It is been said that it has been potential by the Japanese to make a move ahead by means of their vibrant government and the group performances.

There are many other countries to come up from the economic slowdown. They comprise countries such as Germany, France, and Hong Kong and so on. They made it straight through very literally in getting out of the recession. In spite of Japan being cleared off recession Nikkei which constitutes to main share index in Japan has not come up yet. Is Google Killing the News?

I am a weighty Google fan. I think they have done more to open up the web and unlock the data on it than any other company. It's all very well having browsers and article but looking what you need in the morass is what has made the web exciting, to my mind.

But all this comes at a price - despite the recession, Google clocked up .7bn in revenue last quarter and while profits dropped to 2m, they have made as much as .29bn of profit in Q3 of 2008. It is, by any measure, an extraordinarily profitable business.

News From Japan

One of its main functions is to aggregate article so that we can all absolutely digest information, like that from newspapers. While having spectacular, deals with newspaper firms which nets it immense advertising revenues, papers are looking it hard. In a new consulation organised by the newspaper industry, Google Ceo, Eric Schmidt, was both necessary of papers and criticised by them.

On the one hand, news fellowships saw the expected revenues Google was production effectively off the back of their content, for which they have to pay handsomely to produce. On the other, Google believes that newspapers should revolutionise and get with the fact that they are useless at distributing their content. Schmidt criticised the newspaper business for 'pissing off' its consumers and that Google were the heroes for distributing the article more effectively.

The Big Machine

Producing news is an high-priced business, much more high-priced than aggregating and distributing it. If someone delivered a paper to your doorstep which was just the data you liked as a synopsis of cuttings that would interest you from all papers in just one copy, small adequate to digest the headlines but expandable if you want to read the detailed article, then that's what Google does. With it comes all that context sensitive advertising, thought about targeted to get us to click through and earn fortunes for Google.

It is, undoubtedly, a dreadful service.

But it is just that. The article is what drives the interest and it's easy to forget that. I write this blog but the wider world beyond a clique of readers never get to see it as Google does not rate it and I do not pay them for anything. The supervene is that even if I have some practical guidance for Smes, beyond a few dedicated readers, the wider world never knows about it. If I wanted to advance my readership, I would have to pay Google to take interest. That does not stop them hosting the blog or popping adverts on the side. My article still earns them some money.

Google was described by one source from within the newspaper business as a 'tapeworm', parasitically dependent on the article produced at great charge by the news industry. The consumers, though, want it all ways. I read the Telegraph from time to time because I like to do the crossword but if I want to find out about something speedily I 'Google' the branch and pick a important news story - it may not be the best written, the best informed or absolutely written by a factual journalist in this country even, but it will be from the firm with the top Google rating which is ultimately driven by money.

The Future

Rupert Murdoch, that bastion of honest article and fighter on profit of the consumer, has asked if aggregators like Google should in time to come pay for the content. It's a relevant demand from the wily proprietor. There is a long term risk that if news is only ever presented on the web then Google and others will have all the power in terms of distribution whereas in the old days the news fellowships controlled the chain right down to the vendors in the street. It was easy to see how money could be made from news. Now it's not so clear.

Google all the time comes back to the 'fair use' consulation - if this is what consumers want, why fight it? While newspapers would argue that the intellectual property rights to their article is being constantly eroded by having such ease of availability. The problem absolutely boils down to, if article aggregation becomes the dominant way in which newspapers are distributed and read, then how will newspapers make money on their content? There is a small kickback of advertising revenue to newspapers, but you can rest assured that Google has the lion's share for itself.

Much of what is reported in papers is rehashed and blogged on - some bloggers production some pretty profits on the back of the original content. News opinion like mine, derives its branch matter from article on the web - I make no excuses for that. While I make no money from it, it would be quite an easy thing to do - so for once, I have some pity for the man who took away the Ryder Cup and stuck it on Sky.

News has all the time been big firm and while ticker feeds like Twitter claim that it is the new way to spread word faster when terrible events occur, feeds such as Reuters have specialised in this for years. The power is that Twitter could generate a new army of 'amateur journalists' over the globe who furnish short, sharp news from source rather than rehashing news on line.

Or so we would like to think. It comes as no surprise that Google is rumoured to be targeting Twitter as a takeover. It is a short hop to believe that Google is then going to become not just the article aggregator but also article supplier of millions of 'news' feeds.

The News Revolution

The problem for people like me is that in a busy day with other things to do, getting news needs to be in short bursts and I turn to capability sites like the Bbc, Sky, Bloomberg and others to get my feeds. I have tried Twitter but it absolutely is like sitting in a large room with thousands of people talking and maybe one someone in the room, at just one point in the day says something of real consequence. The rest is just a blur of irritating noise. To get anyone from it, you have to use the aggregation devices, many of which are ready like Tweetdeck and these can even be fed to your mobile.

You can then 'follow' your Tweeters into the toilet, through the supermarket and down the golf procedure and see what they are doing, reading and knowing. The problem is that the Vast majority of the 'Tweets' are just nonsense and trivial to the point of pathetic. Like watching Big Brother, unless you are concerned in the armpits of yawning contestants lounging on a settee talking garbage, Twitter provides you nonsense.

The world of news still is all about sifting through the mass of data and source bites and putting together something of interest - reporting both facts and content. Reading Michael Parkinson's superb pathology of Jade Goody's life in the Radio Times was brought to me by Google but the article was all Parky. Without his insight, and the thousands of writers who furnish news article and make it involving and informative, Google would be nothing.

We have this dichotomy all the time. My wife's Uncle, Terry Tyler, is a watercress grower and his cress is grown in the clean riverbeds between Sarrat and Chenies in Hertfordshire. He is not a big producer and he cannot afford the fees and chemicals to go 'organic' (perhaps an additional one story of a sham business awaits) but he uses no fertilisers at all to yield the most peppery and yummy watercress you will ever taste. You will never, ever buy it at any supermarket in the Uk or even on shop stalls in 'market towns' which advertise fresh, local produce. You will find it used by some of the top restaurants colse to Britain, however. The hypothesize being is that he cannot afford to sell his stock at supermarket prices as he hand grows and picks the lot. Despite knowing this, I still buy most of my watercress in supermarkets as it is more convenient, even though I am know I am buying inferior stock and supporting large faceless suppliers who would put Terry Tyler out of firm if they could.

We are a buyer society, and we want our stock here and now, conveniently and cheaply. I think what will happen to news will be the same as has happened in Terry Tyler's business - the value of the article will diminish and the value in distribution will grow. We will see a fall in capability but a gain in availability. No longer will stories arrive at us based on the capability of the journalism and the facts but on the who has paid to be at the top of the search.

Don't knock it, we asked for it.

New European Subcompacts advent to the United States

Automobile manufacturers from Europe and Japan are certainly headed in the right direction by selecting to bring European-spec subcompact cars to the United States and adding a new shop of automobiles to buy for consumers. While models such as the Nissan Vera, Toyota Yaris, and Honda Fit are already in America, the efficiency of these models is still not up to par with models in hybrid line-ups, such as the Toyota Prius. Therefore, foreign manufactures will bring even smaller, yet still very safe subcompacts to the United States, that will perform nearly the same fuel efficiency as a hybrid for a much best price.

At the Los Angeles Auto Show, Mazda unveiled a new micro-hatchback to its line-up, the Mazda 2. The car is very similar to the Mazda 3 in appearance, except it is much smaller. It appears that it would be a fun peppy little car for the city. The size is very much similar to that of Ford's new Ford Fiesta hatchback. As a 2011 model, the car will be brought to America in whether the third or fourth quarter of 2010.

News From Japan

Furthermore, the showroom of Volkswagon certainly did impress with its newer sleeker version of Gti, and a large line-up of Tdi clean diesel cars. The cars Vw offers with the extremely fuel-effecient diesel technology are the Golf, Jetta, and Toureg. Not only do the V-dubs get revamped machine options and surface looks, but the interiors have been redesigned to be approximately on par with those of more costly German cars from Audi and Mercedes. The interior of the Gti was far more refined than that of the Audi A3, its "luxury" rival. Volkswagon also brought a prototype of the inherent time to come Golf that would be streamlined on the surface and have a lightened interior to increase fuel-efficiency. The thoughprovoking subcompact Vw is bringing to the U.S. Is the Polo Bluemotion, which has claimed to accumulate an unbelievable 75 mpg on the highway from its sipping diesel engine.

Lastly, Ford is also hopping on the bandwagon by bringing its European-spec Fiesta to the United States. The Fiesta is also a car that has been in Europe already for a bit of time, so American consumers should be excited that the car will be coming to the U.S. Since, it is similar in size with the Mazda 2, specifications should also be similar. It will have a 1.6L inline-4 with 160 hp and will get 30 mpg in the city and a spectacular 40 mpg on the highway. In addition, the Fiesta makes a statement with its fun and hip surface that would certainly attract the younger crowd. The first Fiestas will be sold in spring 2010 as a 2011 model. With the hard hit the economy, impacted automobile ma are nufacturers certainly taking steps in the right direction by bringing these new cars to the United States and opportunity up new markets.

Did Cash For Clunkers actually Work?

Now that the controversial Cash for Clunkers schedule is officially over, a lot of citizen have things to say about the program, either or not it was a success and if there should be an additional one one or similar programs like this. Many believe that the Us commercial economy is provocative again and that the cash-for-clunkers schedule was a success that assisted with this.

We see workers are going back work and consumers are now able to buy large and sometimes expensive forms of transportation. citizen are borrowing money, loans are being given and money is exchanging hands. This is what the economy is all about. So does this mean the schedule was a winner? Can we now see big improvements due to this revolutionary program? Only a join of weeks after its end, many citizen are skeptical.

News From Japan

It's all about the money exchanging hands, or so they say. But is the money changing the right hands? Is what's good for general Motors and the rest of the Us auto manufactures also what's good for the rest of the United States? Was this schedule authentically a advantage to the Us economy?

It was believed that the government had created value by giving money to car clubs and also to dealers. However, some believe that this may have just shifted that money away from other uses. Some believe that if the government had not given money to cash-for-clunkers, then this exchanging of money might be taking place in other areas.

Some believe that the bailout and the cash for clunkers schedule was just an additional one example of the government stepping in the help out big clubs that should (and probably do) know better than the make the mistakes they make. Could a bailout and a schedule like Cash for Clunkers just be an additional one way of face up the mistakes they make and allowing them to continue to happen?

What the Car Dealers are Saying

Most dealers early on agreed with the ideas behind the program. It seemed like a win-win for everyone involved. It was also a way to get older, less fuel-efficient vehicles off the roads and replace them with more environmentally kindly alternatives. While this did want some sacrifices for car dealerships, they were promised their just rewards for taking part in the program.

On the more literal topic of either or not Cash for Clunkers was a success, statistics have shown that most dealers and car lots are still waiting for the money the government promised them they would have for participating in the program. Many who participated are not seeing the results they were promised and if asked this very same question, they would probably say it was not a success.

What the citizen are Saying

Many citizen who are vocal about their opinions on Cash for Clunkers are saying they're not impressed with the results either. Middle America is reporting that the Cash for Clunkers did very limited to help them. citizen who couldn't afford to buy cars before still can't afford to buy cars and there is no indication that it's any easier than it was before for them to get a loan.

Families driving nearby old beat-up cars because they can't afford anyone newer and more economical are still driving nearby those same beat-up cars. Many citizen feel the schedule was a joke, especially since it was pushed from an environmental stand point.

The seminar is that while it was pushed as a schedule that would get fuel inefficient vehicles off the streets and replace them with better fuel sufficient versions, it didn't authentically appear to do that. Most of the new vehicles that were being purchased were from Japan which did limited to stimulate the Us economy as well.

Still others who did purchase Toyotas or Hondas that were believed to be more fuel sufficient had to do so by obtaining loans that are still very difficult to get. The cash-for-clunkers schedule didn't do anyone to make it easier for these citizen to procure better cars. There are still millions of Americans who would probably like better cars and if given the choice and they could afford one, would also get a more fuel-efficient vehicle.

However, this singular schedule did not authentically help them with that in any way. citizen who couldn't afford it before and couldn't get a loan, still can't afford it and still can't get a loan. an additional one seminar is that all this did for the environment was generate a new question by production the engines of these older vehicles inoperable. Now person has to see to it that they are disposed of properly.

As for Stimulating the Economy

Many arguments have been made about either or not this authentically stimulated the economy. Some citizen point out that citizen were brought back to these automotive clubs who had previously been let go. Now the new ask has given these citizen jobs. This would appear to be a good thing.

Yet others argue that the boost is artificial and that as soon as the cash-for-clunkers schedule is over, the steam will run out and these citizen will just be laid off once again when their services are no longer needed. In the long run, will this authentically do anyone to stimulate the economy?

Many citizen still reconsider it to have been an artificial marketplace and many experts will agree. It was a faux boost based on claims of environmental friendliness that worked out in the favor of neither. Now in the months that will result the end of the program, we will see the after-effects and either or not it authentically made a discrepancy for safe bet or negative.

Final Thoughts

When you ask either or not Cash for Clunkers authentically worked, the retort will all depend on who you ask. While government officials behind the schedule reconsider it a success, many citizen feel that it was just an additional one government example of value being shifted but not authentically created.

While it's true that it may have stimulated car sales and statistics show that there has been an increase in the sale of cars, but many citizen believe that cash-for-clunkers only increased the interest in citizen buying cars but has not authentically made a discrepancy on the estimate of Americans buying cars or the types of vehicles they are purchasing.

Just because there is an increase in economic activity does not necessarily mean that the schedule was a success or that the government had the right to stimulate that activity. Many citizen are still skeptical about either or not these types of programs are successful for our economy and either or not we should see more of them.

Some citizen also believe that if this did in fact work and lead to a spike in the sales of vehicles that it could come at the expense of sales later in the year or in the New Year to come. Only time will tell us if this one is true or not. With all the speculation about the schedule and either or not it would help to stimulate the economy, we have no real answers at this point and it seems it's let to only more speculation. Time will tell what result this schedule has truly had on the Us economy.
